I’m a speed reader. Am I Cheating My Fellow Medium Writers by Reading Their Content Too Fast?

The reason I originally joined Medium was not to write but to read. I am a voracious speed reader. I consume at a minimum of five articles a day on average.
I choose random articles because I have never read their writing. I have favorites where I read everything they published.
My five-dollar monthly membership fee will not go to waste.

I started writing because I am a writer, so I write.
“All things are difficult before they are easy.” — – Thomas Fuller
Now, with the new payment system changes, am I cheating the other writers by not lingering on their articles? Is it selfish of me to continue to read as many articles as I can each day? I will still clap for the articles and poetry that I like.
Reading is a pleasure to me. More is better than less.
I never clapped for everything I read, just those I liked. But I read every one. Perhaps that is a better system. I don’t know.
I’m torn.

For now, I will read and clap at my speed, but I’ll see how this works out.
Damn it.
